Serves:
PREPARATION: Combine the onions, garlic and oil in a saucepan. Cover and saute on medium heat for 5 – 7 minutes, until the onions soften. Add the peppers, asparagus, and wine and simmer for 5 minutes. Stir in the squash or zucchini, tomatoes, basil, oregano and beans. Cover and return to a simmer for 10 minutes. Add the clams, cover and continue to cook until all of the vegetables are tender, about 3 minutes more. Garnish with basil.
