RIGATONI WITH SARDINES, TOMATOES & FRESH BASIL

INGREDIENTS :

1 can Unico Plain Sardines, drained and rinsed
1 can Unico Premium Diced Tomatoes/Puree
1 onion, diced
1 garlic clove, minced
3 tbsp. Gallo Pure Olive Oil
1 tsp. Salt and pepper (each)
1 tsp. Crushed chili peppers
½ cup fresh basil, chopped
1 Ib. Unico Rigatoni, cooked
Grated Asiago cheese

PREPARATION: Heat the olive oil and cook the onion and garlic until aromatic and tender. Add the sardines, tomatoes, salt, pepper, and chili pepper; simmer for ten minutes. Toss the sauce with the cooked rigatoni and add the fresh basil. Garnish with more basil and the Asiago cheese.
